The Perfect Location

Rockhaven is located between Bozeman and Big Sky, Montana on highway 191, only 20 miles from each city! In both Bozeman and Big Sky you can find downtown shopping, restaurants, rodeos, theaters, and more. Take an easy hour drive to West Yellowstone and journey throughout one of the greatest National Parks in the United States.

We are conveniently located near world class fly fishing on the Gallatin, Madison, and Yellowstone Rivers, as well skiing at Big Sky Resort and Bridger Ski Resort. We have a close partnership with Montana Whitewater located 3 miles down the road. Rockhaven is actually home to one of Montana Whitewater’s state of the art zipline courses! Spend a day ziplining and enjoying the thrill of whitewater rafting along the Gallatin River. The Gallatin National Forest is our backyard and provides trails for hiking to the top of Sheep Rock with spectacular views of Gallatin Valley.

Our Facilities

Rockhaven Camp and Retreat Center’s 10 acre facility is perfect for a variety of events and retreats. We have a winterized kitchen with all the supplies you will need to prepare meals during your stay. For day events, the dining hall can accommodate 50+ with a beautiful outside deck (facing the Gallatin River!) for additional seating.  

The bunkhouse at Rockhaven is a semi-rustic heated building with six rooms, each with twin bunkbeds. The bunkhouse can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Go back to your summer camp roots and enjoy a walk across the lawn to the newly renovated ADA accessible bathhouse – there are no bathrooms in the bunkhouse.   

The Rockhaven log cabin chapel is one of the remaining original buildings, it is the ideal location for a cozy services, ceremonies, and quiet reflection. A foot bridge over the famous Gallatin River provides access to Trinity Meadow where guests can enjoy an outdoor chapel space, a slingshot range, secluded hiking trails, and quiet reflection at the prayer labyrinth. 
  • Standard Rental Rate: $40/person per night
    • Minimum 10 people, or a $400 minimum
  • Winter Rental Rate: (November – March): $45/person per night
    • If plowing is required, a $120 plowing service charge will be added.
  • Day use only: $25/person
    • Minimum 15 people or $300 minimum
  • Campfire services: $25 for two hours
For rentals, a $300 non-refundable holding deposit is required upon signing the rental agreement. 

Everyone is welcome at Rockhaven! From corporate teambuilding retreats to youth group service trips, we would love to host your next gathering. We welcome out of state adventurers as well as local Montanans looking for unique location for a family reunion.

We would love to host your special day at Rockhaven! Our beautiful chapel is perfect for cozy nuptials, and our outdoor vesper space is ideal for an outdoor elopement. Transport your guests back to their summer camp days and have them bunk up together in the dormitory!

Due to our location on the Gallatin River and our driveway on Highway 191, alcohol is not permitted on site. This is for safety and liability purposes. We do not provide a day of wedding coordinators.
